Lenenergo Discusses Prosoft-Systems Solutions as the Basis for Electric Energy Quality Control
Prosoft-Systems presented solutions for digital electric energy metering during PJSC Lenenergo's Presentation Days. The event took place on June 3, bringing together key domestic manufacturers of commercial and technical metering systems as well as experts from Lenenergo's core divisions and allied grid companies in the region. During the event, Prosoft-Systems experts demonstrated equipment and software used to create modern smart commercial electricity-metering systems and spoke about controlling the quality of electric energy through the Energosfera software package.
Presentation Day participants gave talks about the latest releases on the market and discussed ways of building automated meter reading systems, the possibilities of using wireless technology and the outlook for smart metering systems at digital substations. Visitors were able to see the latest developments in smart electricity metering at manufacturers' stands. Following the event, Lenenergo's expert council will select the technologies and equipment of the greatest interest in perfecting the metering systems and reducing losses at PJSC Rosseti enterprises.
Prosoft-Systems submitted the following energy facility equipment and software for the expert community's consideration:
- ARIS 28xx universal metering and telecontrol controllers
- ARIS EM45 digital multifunctional electric meter with data recording that meets the IEC 61850-9-2LE standard
- 6-35 kV ARIS 23xx multifunctional relay protection and automation terminal
- Energosfera system for monitoring the quality of electric energy to identify and remove sources that negatively affect quality.
"A reduction in electricity quality leads to a reduction in the service life of electric receivers, increased losses and, ultimately, to technological and economic harm," remarked Alexey Krupin, Prosoft-Systems' Lead Product Application Engineer of Technical Marketing and R&D Department. "In the prevention of negative scenarios, using measurement data is essential in identifying the causes of deteriorating indicators and quickly taking organizational and technical measures to bring these indicators back to an acceptable level."
