This bay controller has a modular project-based design and is intended for monitoring and controlling equipment of one or several feeders, comes with the power breaker control automation function (BCA) enabled. It offers direct input of signals from measuring CTs and VTs, input of digital signals, normalized analog signals, digital output signals and control commands. It is used as an element of SAS, data acquisition and transmission systems, etc.

ARIS 4212 series controllers are equipped with LCD screens, and allow to create and display on it animated single-line mimic diagrams of connections. With the help of these diagrams it is possible to visualize the current status of switching devices, status of interlocking signals, position of keys, effect local or remote control of connection in real time, as well as input other signals.

Single line mimic diagrams are presented on the ARIS 4212 controller`s screen and can be accessed for user editing via a menu in the web interface.

ARIS-4212 has built-in tools for programming the logic of operation. These tools can be used to create
logic and computational diagrams of any complexity, in particular, diagrams of interlocking, control, logic
processing of parameters, auxiliary calculations using a custom algorithm.

For this purpose the software of ARIS 4212 includes an runtime system for applications developed with help
of the functional block diagrams language (FBD). FBD allows a user to elaborate sophisticated procedures
consisting of various functional library units (arithmetic, trigonometric, logic control, PID controls, etc.). FBD
complies with the IEC 61131‑3 standard issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission in 1992 that
defines the programming languages of logic controllers (PLC).

FBD integrates a structural programming methodology that allows a user to describe an automated process
in the most simple and understandable way. User functions allow to describe procedures and function
algorithms that are not implemented in the standard version.

Custom algorithms based on FBD are loaded into the ARIS 4212 controller as an executable file, moreover,
changing the logic of algorithm inside the controller is not possible, one can only define bindings
of controller`s internal input and output signals. In addition to binding and processing of controller`s physical
signals it is possible to process quality attributes according to these signals

The scope of delivery includes an advanced FBD application development environment – Soft Constructor
software. The interface of a system user includes a windowed mode, a graphic editor, libraries of standard
algorithms. The availability of a debugger allows one to simulate an algorithm`s execution, browse statuses
of variables, view progress of execution.

ARIS-4212 allows to save oscillography records for both analog direct input signals from CT/VT, and digital
signals, implementing the functions of an emergency events recorder. The oscillography records are saved
in the COMTRADE format and can be transmitted to upper levels of the system.
